Expression of Interest for State-wide Equipment Program (SWEP) Assistive Technology Clinical Advisors


Dear Practitioners

It has come to our attention that some practitioners have not received our communique previously sent regarding opportunities to join the SWEP Clinical Advisor Panel.  We also understand that some applicants emails have not come through or been received.

We therefore are re sending this invite out and have extended the close date to the 21st November 2022.

SWEP is seeking expressions of interest from practitioners to join our expert Clinical Advisory Panel. SWEP utilises the Clinical Advisor Panel to support SWEP and our consumer cohort. As a Clinical Advisor you may be required to:

  • Provide clinical support and validation of assistive technology prescriptions
  • Undertake clinical reviews as requested
  • Provide expert advice to the Chief Allied Health Officer specific to your area of expertise
  • Participate in projects as required (e.g. updating manuals, review of new products, resources and education material)
  • Participate in Clinical Advisor Panel meetings (approx. 1 per year)

 

We are seeking highly experienced practitioners who prescribe in the following categories regularly and can demonstrate a minimum of 10 years' experience.

Ø  Oxygen - adult and paediatric

Ø  Speech Pathology

o   Electronic voice aids

o   Laryngectomy consumables

Ø  Assistive Technology equipment categories of

o   Wheelchair, scooters, seating and pressure care

o   Bedding, accessories and mattresses

o   Home modifications

o   Seating

o   Transfer

o   Vehicle modifications both driver and passenger

o   Environmental control units

o   Orthotics & custom shoes

o   Bathing and toileting

o   Mobility and standing

Applications close Tuesday 08/11/2022.

If your application is successful, you will be required to enter into a formal Service Agreement with Grampians Health /SWEP and also complete a confidentiality document.
