Mobile Repairs VHHE (VHHE) has previously been contracted by SWEP to supply a range of wheeled walkers, manual wheelchairs and scooters. SWEP has ceased to place orders for equipment or equipment modifications with VHHE.
SWEP has extended contractual arrangements with GMS Rehabilitation and Country Care Group and the equipment previously contracted with VHHE will be available from these providers. GMS Rehabilitation will assume supply of the contracted scooters, while Country Care Group will assume supply of walkers and Karma manual wheelchairs.
The SWEP Picklist & Catalogue will shortly be updated with new details. There are some minor changes to pricing. The majority of items previously contracted from VHHE remain within SWEP 's subsidy limits. However, the following items are no longer available within subsidy and a co-contribution will be required:
XA1A1C Basic Adult Wheelchair Folding - Frequent Use/Durable (Karma Eagle) Only the 19x18 variant.
XA1A2A Basic Adult Folding Bariatric Self Propel Wheelchair Heavy Duty Frequent Use/Durable (Karma Eagle Bariatric). All variants
XA1A2B Basic Adult Folding Bariatric Transit Wheelchair Heavy Duty Frequent Use/Durable (Karma Transit II Bariatric). All variants
The previously contracted KCare walkers are replaced by equivalent Peak Care Eclipse series items.
KCare items contracted from Aidacare are still in supply.
We will reallocate unfulfilled VHHE orders for the contracted items to GMS Rehabilitation and Country Care Group as appropriate, commencing Monday 1 May 2017.
