SWEP Communique - Prescriber Website Update

19 August 2016

Thank you to all the prescribers who have registered as a prescriber with SWEP and/or logged in to use our new website portal to lodge applications.  Your feedback has helped us hugely to adjust and correct the web-site functionality as the change has been implemented.

If you already have a prescriber registration number you do not need to register again as a prescriber but only need to log in for the website portal to activate your account.
To activate your website account go to the Prescriber Login page: https://swep.bhs.org.au/account.php

Activation is not complex, and completing this step in advance will give you some experience with the website and help us work out any knots together, making application submission a lot easier. Your username is either the Primary Email address you originally provided to SWEP, or your SWEP prescriber ID. Once logged in, you can edit your password. Once you are logged in, go to the My Account section and select My Profile to update your details. Your primary work location must be a street address, not a PO Box.

System and process reliability is such that SWEP will cease accepting applications in any other medium shortly. You will not be able to submit applications unless you have first logged in and activated your website account.
The web-based system depends on accurate, current email addresses for most communications. For instance, if your primary email recorded by SWEP is no longer in use, you will not receive system notifications to allow you to change password (consistent with web protocols, password reset requests trigger a system email with a link to a secure password reset page). If you are not receiving expected system emails, contact SWEP for assistance PH 1300 747 937.

Following your feedback and with our own experience of common issues, some improvements have been made. You may notice these the next time you submit an application:

Mandatory fields have been identified with red asterisks. Mandatory free text boxes will highlight red if not filled out.
An auto save function has been added. You will be prompted at the start of an application if you wish to use this feature. The   auto-save will auto save your work every 30 seconds.
The portal will automatically confirm your prescriber level against relevant client characteristics and picklist codes. Some dimensions, such as client weight are still checked manually by a SWEP Administration Officer.
Phone Numbers - all landlines must have the area code included for you to be able to submit the application.
Date of birth  must be entered via the pop up calendar by choosing year, month, day - in that order
Finalised, Declined & Cancelled Forms - Application with these statuses can be found under My Account. Select Finalised Forms

We have also created a prescriber frequently asked questions (FAQ) which is located on the prescriber log in page. Click here to view.
If you have any questions or issues please contact SWEP for assistance PH 1300 747 937.
