SWEP Communique - Database Updates

SWEP has recently updated our Quotable Picklist items. This has meant a change in some Picklist codes and descriptions and an overall reduction in the number of options.

These Picklist codes will need to be selected for non-contracted or priced items.  Any application that you have in draft (prior to submission to SWEP), has had the old quotable picklist number removed.   We apologise that this has recently caused some issues, resulting in an inability to submit the application even though you have selected a new picklist item. This should now be rectified, however if you do experience any further issues please contact our SWEP IM&T Team on PH 1300 747 937 Option 5.

You may also have noticed some of your older applications are appearing in the new database as ordered or updated.  As SWEP moves away from using the old database permanently, SWEP staff are transferring the older applications to the new database when the items are ordered.

For many months now SWEP has been working closely with our new Database Developers and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in order to migrate information in the old database to our new database.  The work being conducted by SWEP staff is an interim measure until we successfully migrate the data. Each time this occurs, you should see activity notes indicating it was an older application that has now been ordered or updated in some format. 

By taking these steps, this will enable AT Practitioners to track ordered applications in the new database and ease the burden of using two systems.
