Dear Prescribers,
In order to improve SWEPs services and more closely manage our applications we will be going through a change in structure over the next several months. Rather than contacting a department for Aids and Equipment, SAEAS or A&EP Children's applications you will be directed to a team dedicated to managing a range of equipment types. Some of you will be aware that we have been trialling this method of handling Scooters and Orthoses within the A&EP team. The new teams are currently in the process of being established and we anticipate that this process will be completed by mid-November. Over this time you will experience some changes to our phone system, email addresses and staff. Please bear this in mind when contacting SWEP as we will be adjusting to the changes as well.
In addition to the above please note that our work with the NDIA has progressed and we will begin sharing more prescriber information with the agency and its representatives. This information is drawn from our registration system so if you have not yet logged in or wish to update your details prior to this sharing of information please do so immediately. Our current schedule calls for the rollout of our information services to begin during the week of the first of November.
