Applying for Domiciliary Oxygen

How do I apply?

You need to be assessed by a Consultant Physician specialising in respiratory (thoracic) medicine, cardiology, or oncology. They will ask you to undertake some tests to determine whether you will benefit from supplementary oxygen and that your results comply with the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) Guidelines.

 

Based on your test results your specialist will determine what oxygen equipment you need and how often you will need to use it. 


What happens after the assessment is done?

Your specialist will complete an online application form and supporting documents for the equipment you need, on your behalf.  



What happens when the application has been processed?

Once your eligibility is confirmed SWEP will order the required oxygen equipment from the equipment Supplier, who will deliver it to your nominated address.
