Dear Practitioner
Every four years the State-wide Equipment Program (SWEP) conducts a re-tender process for the Continence Program. We are pleased to advise that the successful tenderer for this period is Independence Australia (IA). IA have previously supplied continence products for SWEP, and we look forward to continuing our partnership in supporting our consumers.
The new tender will commence on 1st September 2024 and will include a range of new items, some of the current items will be continued, while some previously available will be discontinued.
To assist in managing requests please note the following:
- Any waitlisted or incomplete applications for a product that is no longer available, the practitioner will be notified via email. The application will be returned to draft status, allowing you to select an alternative item and resubmit. Your consumer's position on the waitlist will not be affected.
- An updated interim product catalogue will be available on our website under Picklists & Catalogue This will be provided as a spreadsheet with tabs for each product category.
- To assist you, a 'discontinued items' tab is included for reference
- A new online catalogue will be available soon to replace the interim spread sheet. We will notify you when this is available.
- Draft applications - any application you have in draft that are not submitted before 4:30pm Thursday, 29th September will need to be reviewed and updated with new item/s codes, if necessary, before submission.
For items that will remain on the new list, the product codes will not change, however, pricing may vary. SWEP will contact you if adjustments to the quantity of items requested are necessary to ensure they fall within the consumer's annual subsidy If you have any questions or feedback, please contact swep@gh.org.au
